Part of a Western Sydney University initiative called ‘Pathways to Dreaming’, a program designed to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education. The program also aims to build the students’ skills and enhance their Aboriginal cultural knowledge.
The audio documentary opens an important dialogue between first Australians and new Australians through creative writing and oral storytelling. Produced by Mariam Chehab. Featuring interviews with SWEATSHOP writers, Peter Polites, Amanda Yeo and Stephen Pham, and stories by Indigenous students from Leumeah High School performed by Sharni McDermott and Marcus Corowa. Stories written by: Chelsea Masan, Olivia Culgan, Jasmine-Lee Fischer, Palyssa Baker, Adina Aslett-Robertson, Grant Solberg, Alexis Humphries and Jayde Fischer.
